About - Pardeys

History of Pardeys

Pardeys Pharmacy, an iconic Geelong business, has served the community with distinction since 1848. Three generations of Bell/Lindros family have been involved, starting with Alex Bell (my grandfather) from 1929 to 1985, Joan Lindros (my mother) from 1953 to the present, and finally David Lindros, from 1985.

I grew up in Belmont and attended Roslyn Primary School, one of the many local groups we support with sponsorship. On a day-to-day basis I don't see many of my fellow primary school friends however I do see quite a few of their parents, all in their 80s and 90s now.

Pardeys is one of the oldest businesses in Geelong and, indeed, Australia. We celebrated 170 years in 2018. We invite anyone with connections, personal stories or photos relating to Pardeys to share them with us. We enjoy sharing your historic associations along with my family's legacy.

In this world of corporatisation and disconnection between customers and management, our good old-fashioned approach drives our emphasis on service and our forward thinking innovative developments into the future.

We are proud of winning the "Customer Service" category of the Geelong Business Excellence Awards in 2014, “Innovation” in 2015 and winners again in 2016 in recognition for our commitment to the community.

We look forward to being of service to you and your family long into the future.

Wishing you good health
